Ingredients

  • 1 pack of bacon
  • 2 yellow onions
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 800g falukorv (Swedish sausage)
  • 1.5 dl tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 dl creme fraiche
  • 2 dl milk
  • 1-2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Salt, pepper, ancho chili powder, persillade

Instructions

  1. In a pan, fry the bacon until crisp. Allow it to cool, then cut it into smaller pieces.
  2. In a separate pan, melt butter and sauté chopped yellow onions until softened. Add shredded red bell pepper and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Cut the falukorv into sticks and add them to the pan. Brown them, then add the bacon. Add tomato paste and Dijon mustard. Stir in creme fraiche and milk. Season with parsley and spices. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Serve the Sausage Stroganoff with your choice of accompaniment, such as rice, quinoa, couscous, or a side salad. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
