Flying Jacob

Savor the flavors of Flying Jacob, a Swedish classic featuring pan-seared chicken, sweet bananas, and a creamy blend of creme fraiche, chili sauce, and cream. Ingredients

  • Pasta or rice
  • 700 grams of chicken fillet
  • Butter
  • 1 pack of bacon
  • 3 dl cream
  • 2.5 dl creme fraiche
  • 1/2-1 dl chili sauce (adjust to your preference)
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 dl salted peanuts

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200-225 degrees Celsius.
Slice the chicken into pieces. Brown them in butter and place them in an ovenproof dish.

Whisk together creme fraiche, chili sauce, and cream in a bowl. Slice and brown the bacon. Place it on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

Slice the bananas and spread them over the chicken. Pour the chili sauce mixture over everything and place it in the oven.

Bake for about 15-20 minutes, but halfway through, take it out and sprinkle bacon and peanuts over the top, then return it to the oven.

Serve with a tasty salad.
